01/30/06 - 2003 AV Graduate Thomas Juillerat Nets First Triple
Cal State Fullerton outscored UC Davis 18-16 in the third overtime to edge the Aggies, 94-92, in a Saturday afternoon battle at The Pavilion. Phil Rasmussen led six Aggies in double-figures with a game-high 25 points to go along with 13 rebounds. Thomas Juillerat turned in a warrior-like effort with 12 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, his first career triple-double and the first for a UC Davis player in over 15 years. Jermaine Harper led the Titans with 21 points. Justin Burns had 14 points and 16 rebounds. For Juillerat, the 12 rebounds tied a career-high set Dec. 21, 2004. His 10 assists are a new career-high and a season-high for UC Davis. The last Aggie with a triple-double was Matt Cordova on Feb. 15, 1991. Rasmussen was just three points away from tying his career-high. He also tied a career-high with the 13 boards set Jan. 16, 2004. UC Davis returns to action Feb. 2 when it begins a two-game road trip at UC Santa Barbara. The game can be heard on KSAC 1240-AM with audio and video coverage available at www.ucdavisaggies.com.
