Lady Dons lose a tough one at San Ramon Valley, 3-4

Our JV ladies were hoping to continue their second half sweep against SRV, but the Wolves were out for a win at home and they succeeded, narrowly beating Amador in a tough one, 3-4.
Our singles matches were hard fought, and we were able to split against our San Ramon Valley opponents. Captain Sibley Silcox played long and hard, but ended up just short 4-6, 3-6. Alison Kobayashi outplayed the competition once again, with awesome serves and strong rallies earning her one of the day's big wins, 6-3, 6-2.
Captain Chelsea Kerrigan & Caroline Tanonis evened their score after a challenging first set before losing a tough match in a close tie-break, 0-6, 6-4, 6-10. Jackie Kartchner & Allison Rowe provided the Dons with their second team victory of the day, winning their match in dramatic fashion, 6-3, 2-6, 10-5. And Sanjana Seth & Justine Chinn continue to rack up the wins for the Dons, as they were victorious against the Wolves, 6-3, 7-5.
Jonelle Balducci & Claire Williams also gave it their all against SRV, losing their first set 4-6 then coming back strong in the second 6-1 before losing in a hard fought tie-breaker 6,10. And in the day's final contest, Meghana Manne & Megan Marschall played with determination and skill, but were unable to come away with the win, 1-6, 3-6.
Good job, ladies! You've proven match after match that you're tough competition as you continue to make us all proud!
