The Amador JV girls’ volleyball team came out in force on Tuesday night’s home game against Granada to continue their winning streak heading into the homestretch of the season! Game 1 against Granada included beautiful serving by Emilie Kapp, Rachel Cilk, Rebecca Wolfinger, Meghan Burnett and Jessica Averill. Amador’s awesome serving, beautiful sets, hard hits and great defense by middles Tara Shreve, Emily Diggins, libero Shannon Butler and outside Laura Zollars brought the score to 24 to 7. The final score: Amador 25 Granada 9.
The second game included more great serving by the Amador Lady Dons with Burnett, Zollars, Kapp, Nicole Huggins and Shreve. Huggins continued to impress in the front row with her well placed hits. Awesome back row defense by Nicole Woo and an impressive one handed pass from Burnett and a diving save by Diggins kept the large lead over Granada. The final score: Amador 25 Granada 14.
The girls final game will be against Foothill this Thursday. |
