2009 AVHS Water Polo Seniors

The big event will be this Thursday, 29 Oct – Amador vs. Foothill at Amador, 6:00PM. Amador is one game behind (5 – 8) Foothill (6 – 7) so a win in this last game of the regular EBAL season will avenge the stinging last second one point lost to Foothill at Foothill only a few weeks ago, pull Amador up into a 3 way tie for EBAL 4th place (assuming Cal loses to De La Salle) and nearly assure Amador a spot at the post season NCS tournament. As you can tell, all the chips are on the table for this evening’s game against Foothill at Amador. So please come out and help the boys shoot down the Falcons and bust down the NCS tournament door. GO DONS!
As important as tonight’s game is for the varsity team’s NCS dreams, more importantly tonight is Senior Appreciation night where we will say thanks to the 7 senior Lady Dons and 6 Dons who will play their last regular season water polo game at the Charles Volonte pool. Without the leadership and poise of these individuals, Amador water polo would not be the quality program that we all now enjoy so much. Please come to the pool to wish these young men and women a heartfelt bon voyage as they finish their regular season water polo careers with the Amador and continue their travels down the road of life.
