Lady Dons Close Out Regular Season with Win Over Foothill

It was senior recognition night for our 7 beautiful seniors and what a fitting way to close out their final league match with a 9-7 win over the Foothill Falcons.
The Dons started all 7 seniors - Talia Greenwald in goal,Emma McGuiness, Rachel Brearley, Sarah Bradley, Rachel Miller, Kelly Avon, and Chelsea King.
Sarah Bradley was first to score followed by Chelsea King. Foothill would put up one in the first period keeping the match tight. Amador got some breathing room in the second scoring 4 times with goals from Emma McGuiness (2), Rachel Miller, and Kelly Avon. At the half Amador led 6-2.
Third quarter saw more Amador scoring from Rachel Miller (2) and Emma McGuiness. Foothill made it interesting in the 4th period as Amador was held scoreless and the Falcons rallied for 3 goals bringing the final score 9-7.
With that victory the Dons earned 4th place in the tough EBAL league behind Monte Vista, San Ramon, and Carondelet. They now await word from the NCS seeding meeting on Sunday.
